We will explore other building processes and examine unique technologies that are cutting edge in the building industry. We will follow the THIS OLD HOUSE type of format and show methods and application of these new building technologies and the benefits to homeowners. Billy Elkins Films production company will travel the country filming different types of housing and commercial buildings to show examples of innovative methods of building. The focus of the show will be the future of building - today. The centerpiece of the project is a 50 foot diameter Thin Shelled Concrete Dome home. Being constructed as a showcase for the new technologies available for the new home builder market, SAFE HARBOR DOME will be state-of-the-art. After seeing an application or process in the dome, viewers will be treated to other applications and processes from other parts of the country.
